What divisions are in the Fijian Cup Oztag tournament?

The Fijian Cup Oztag tournament has four divisions: Open Men’s, Open Women’s, Open Mixed and Mixed Masters (women 30+, men 35+). Spots for international teams are limited in every division, so registration places your team in the invitational draw rather than guaranteeing entry.

What is the difference between Oztag and Touch at the Fijian Cup?

They are separate tournaments on separate dates with separate prize pools. Oztag runs from 3 to 6 December 2026 and is played by removing a velcro tag from a belt, while Touch runs from 19 to 22 November 2026 and is played with a two-handed touch. Both are held at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka and both carry over FJD$50,000 in prizes. Teams and individuals are welcome to enter both.

Can I play more than one Fijian Cup tournament in the same year?

Yes. The four codes run on separate weekends across November and December 2026, so teams and individual players regularly enter more than one. Netball is 12 to 15 November, Touch is 19 to 22 November, Rugby League 9s is 26 to 29 November and Oztag is 3 to 6 December. Each tournament is booked as its own package.

Do We Need To Purchase An Official Package To Enter The Tournament?

Yes, by group buying together we’re able to deliver the best value-for-money packages while also underwriting the event and the incredible prize packages. These packages also help cover the costs of flying in representatives to run referee and coaching clinics for our Fijian Hosts and also entry for Fijian teams who might otherwise struggle to afford entry. Due to the huge costs involved and limited seats on transfers etc, guests that haven’t booked an official package are unable to join teams at official functions and on transfers.
